Jacobs Women's Pavilion
ParkView Patient Care Center
Heart Center Construction Project

Since 2000, Fairview has invested more than $80 million in expansion projects, facility upgrades and new service development.  One of the patient care advances this investment has allowed is the ParkView Patient Care Center, a $42 million, 171,000 square-foot center that houses 144 spacious private rooms overlooking the Cleveland MetroParks’ Rocky River Reservation.

Another advancement is the Jacobs Women’s Pavilion, a $17.2 million addition that houses 35 private postpartum rooms and a 13-bed high-risk obstetrics unit.  The Level III Birthing Center at Fairview has always been the premier health service on Cleveland’s West Side.  Through this renovation and expansion we created a physical facility that matches the skill and expertise of our staff and physicians while providing a pleasing and healing environment for our patients.  To view a virtual tour, click here.

Some of the other patient care advances allowed are the openings of the West Side’s only Pediatric Emergency Department and the Center for Advanced Bloodless Medicine and Surgery, new services created to address community health needs.

These improvements are necessary as our community is growing and experience changing health care needs, a situation that demands additional and broader spectrum medical care.  These facility upgrades are an investment in our community and the patients we are honored to serve and it is our commitment that we will continue to serve the community well into the future.

Fairview Hospital is not stopping with these improvements.  In addition, the hospital plans on accommodating several of the community’s health needst through the following projects:

A new Cardiac Rehabilitation and Employee Fitness Center
A $14.5 million upgrade and expansion of the  Heart Center to include additional cardiac labs, imaging and diagnostic capabilities and recovery beds, to support surgeons, cardiologists and other specialists in the care of our patients.
Renovation and expansion of the inpatient and outpatient radiology/imaging departments that will double the current size and include upgrades of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and computed tomography (CT) equipment.
Renovation and expansion of Emergency Services in response to a projected 72,000 annual ER visits, 27,000 of those visits will be to the Pediatric ER.
Relocation of admitting and registration areas to accommodate recent growth and patient flow.
Expansion to the hospital’s Cancer Center to accommodate growth.
Expansion and renovation of additional medical/surgical units.

These improvements will provide state-of-the-art technology, facilities for growth, overall efficiency of operation and the ability to recruit top-notch staff so that we can continue to treat a wide-array of medical and surgical conditions in response to the needs of our community

Fairview Hospital is dedicated to moving you and your families lives ahead.   These improvements will provide state-of-the-art technology, facilities for growth, overall efficiency of operation and the ability to recruit top-notch staff so that we can continue to treat a wide-array of medical and surgical conditions.
