Stephen P. Flynn, M.D., M.S.P.H., Director

Jefferson Medical College. Residency in Family Practice, Wilmington Medical Center. Robert Wood Johnson Academic Fellowship, University of Missouri. Board-certified in Family Practice, 1975; recertified 1981, 1987, 1994, 2001. Faculty and Associate Director, Fairview Family Practice Residency 1983-1994. Residency Director, MetroHealth Family Practice, Cleveland, Ohio, 1994-1997. Rejoined Fairview faculty as Program Director, 1997. Associate Clinical Professor, Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. Steve’s clinical interests include health promotion, alternative medicine, and medical acupuncture. Dr. Flynn enjoys cycling, golf, travel, and being outdoors.
 

Fred M. Jorgensen, M.D., Associate Director/Medical Director

Medical College of Ohio at Toledo. Residency in Family Practice, Fairview General Hospital. Board-certified in Family Medicine, 1985; recertified 1992, 1999, 2006. Physician Executive Institute I and II, Weatherhead School of Management, Case Western Reserve University, 1997, 1998. Joined Fairview faculty, 1986. Associate Director/Medical Director, 1989. Associate Clinical Professor, Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. Fred’s special interests include practice management/managed care, EHR use in primary care, quality improvement, and preventive health services.  Dr. Jorgensen enjoys golf, skiing, scuba diving, and Scouting.
 

Robert B. Kelly, M.D., M.S., Associate Director/Curriculum Coordinator

University of Virginia School of Medicine. Residency in Family Practice, Brown University. Board-certified in Family Medicine, 1983; recertified 1990, 1996, 2003. Master of Science in Family Medicine, Case Western Reserve Univeristy, 1987. Programs including Advanced Program for Chiefs of Clinical Services, Harvard University, 1994, 1996.  Medical Acupuncture for Physicians, helms Medical Institute, UCLS, 2004.  Member Fairview faculty 1986 through 1991. Rejoined Fairview faculty 2001. Associate Professor, Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. Rob’s special interests include patient education and health promotion, therapeutic communication, practice-based research, acupuncture, and clinical hypnosis. He serves as the Patient Education Editor for the American Academy of Family Physicians’website www.familydoctor.org, and for many of their other related publications. Dr. Kelly is a Scouter and enjoys golf, backpacking, and music.
 

Janeen M. Drazdik, M.D., Pediatrics Coordinator

Medical College of Ohio and Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. Residency in Family Practice, MetroHealth Medical Center. Board-certified in Family Medicine, 2000, recertified in 2007. Joined Fairview faculty, 2001. Senior Clinical Instructor, Case Western Resreve University School of Medicine. Janeen’s special interests include obstetrics, pediatrics, obesity, and procedures.  Besides her balancing act between family and practice, Dr. Drazdik enjoys going dancing, reading horror and science fiction novels, celebrating Halloween and shopping.
 

David A. Eberlein, M.D., Ob/Gyn and Medical Student Coordinator

Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. Residency in Family Practice, Fairview General Hospital. Board-certified in Family Practice, 1986; recertified 1993, 2000, 2007. Joined Fairview faculty, 1997. Senior Clinical Instructor, Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. Dave has special interest in obstetrics, the diagnosis and treatment of chemical dependency and the development and maintenance of nurturing patient-physician relationships. Dr. Dave’s priniciple diversions are home repair and remodeling, mechanics and travel.
 

Carl V. Tyler, Jr., M.D., C.M.D., M.S., Geriatrics and Research Coordinator

Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine (NEOUCOM). Intern in Psychiatry and Human Behavior, University of California, Irvine. Residency in Family Practice, Fairview General Hospital. Board-certified in Family Practice, 1986; recertified 1993, 1999, 2006. Board-certified in Geriatrics, 1992;recertified 2002. Master of Science in Family Medicine at Case Western Reserve University, 1999. C.M.D. (Certified Medical Director in Long-Term Care), 2001. Joined Fairview faculty, 1995. Assistant Clinical Professor, Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. Assistant Clinical Professor, NEOUCOM. Carl’s clinical interests include the primary medical care of adults with mental retardation, hereditary cancer syndromes and psychosocial aspects of aging.  Dr. Tyler enjoys deer hunting, Serbian festivals and Byzantine music.
 

Sandra M. Snyder, D.O, Director of Osteopathic Medical Education/Osteopathic Program Director

Ohio University College of Ostepathic Medicine.  Internship, St. John West Shore Hospital.  Residency in Family Practice, Fairview General Hospital.  Board-certified in Family Medicine, 2003.  Board-certified, American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians, 2007.  Joined Fairview faculty, 2005.  Associate Staff Cleveland Clinic - Strongsville.  Clinical Assistant Professor, Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine.  Dr. Snyder enjoys reading, exercise and travel.
 

Virginia A. Simons, M.S.W., Behavioral Science Coordinator

University of Tennessee School of Social Work. Post Master’s Training, Philadelphia Child Guidance Clinic, Children’s Hospital. Approved Supervisor, American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy; Member, American Family Therapy Association and Academy of Clinical Social Work (ACSW), Board Member, Lorain YWCA.  Licensed Independent Social Worker, Ohio and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Illinois. Joined Fairview faculty, 1998. Assistant Clinical Professor, Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. Ms. Simon enjoys yoga, golf, the outdoors and the arts.  She is an avid touring cyclist and a Reiki Master.
 

Eileen M. Garven, R.N., B.S.N., Patient Education Coordinator

                                                                                                                                        

Kent State University. Former hospital head nurse. Certified Diabetic Educator. Member, American Association of Diabetes Educators. Joined Fairview faculty, 1991. Clinical Instructor, Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. Eileen takes special pride in continually enhancing our award-winning patient education program. Eileen enjoys sewing, quilting and gardening.
 

Ann R. Rutt, M.S.N., C.N.P., Certified Family Nurse Practitioner

Case Western Reserve University, Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing.  Board-certified in Family Practice, 1998; recertified 2003.  Joined Fairview faculty, 2005.  Clinical Instructor, Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine.  Ann’s special interests include adolescent health, women’s health and health promotion.  Ann enjoys the outdoors, gardening, cooking, travel, and time spent with family and friends.
