Pediatric Emergency Department
Fairview Hospital offers state-of-the-art pediatric emergency care on Cleveland's west side.
Whether it’s a sudden illness or injury, we are open 24-hours a day, every day of the year, to care for your child in a kid-safe, family-friendly environment.
The Pediatric Emergency Department at Fairview Hospital is a part of the Cleveland Clinic Children’s Hospital Pediatric Emergency Medicine Network.
Supported by Fairview Hospital's Level II trauma center, this network brings the strengths of Cleveland Clinic Children’s Hospital, The Children’s Hospital outpatient practices, Cleveland Clinic community hospitals and independent community physicians to provide the children in our community with the highest level of pediatric emergency care available.
Expert Physicians and Nurses
Our comprehensive Pediatric Emergency Department is staffed with physicians who are dually-board certified in pediatrics and emergency medicine and registered nurses with advanced training in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
Typical Emergency Rooms do not have the advanced training devoted just for children and Urgent Care Centers do not treat severe illness or injury. We do both. This results in a safer, kid-friendly environment for your child to receive treatment.
In addition to injury and severe illness, we can also provide care for your child’s minor illnesses and injuries when your pediatrician’s office is closed.
If your child requires advanced care, we will collaborate with our Pediatric Department, pediatric surgeons and other in-house specialty services.
