Fairview Hospital offers a wide range of pediatric services that are designed to help you and your child at every stage of development.

More than 100 pediatricians and family practitioners have privileges at Fairview Hospital. In addition to general pediatric services, Fairview Hospital offers specialized pediatric cardiology, anesthesiology, and a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, all designed to offer your child the very best care possible.

Pediatric Inpatient Unit
Our 24-bed Pediatric Inpatient Unit is staffed 24 hours a day by physicians and nurses who specialize in pediatric healthcare.

Pediatric subspecialists are available to deal with the specific needs of your child. Our staff includes pediatric specialists in the fields of allergies, cardiology, gastroenterology, psychology, endocrinology, orthopedics, neurology and surgery.

Clinical Nurse Specialists are available to work closely with children, their families, and the hospital staff. These specialists coordinate patient care, advise on holistic care and facilitate educational efforts.

Pediatric Emergency Department
Fairview Hospital offers state-of-the-art pediatric emergency care on Cleveland's west side.

Whether it’s a sudden illness or injury, we are open 24-hours a day, every day of the year, to care for your child in a kid-safe, family-friendly environment.

The Pediatric Emergency Department at Fairview Hospital is a part of the Cleveland Clinic Children’s Hospital Pediatric Emergency Medicine Network.

Supported by Fairview Hospital's Level II trauma center, this network brings the strengths of Cleveland Clinic Children’s Hospital, The Children’s Hospital outpatient practices, Cleveland Clinic community hospitals and independent community physicians to provide the children in our community with the highest level of pediatric emergency care available.

Expert Physicians and Nurses
Our comprehensive Pediatric Emergency Department is staffed with physicians who are dually-board certified in pediatrics and emergency medicine and registered nurses with advanced training in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).

Typical Emergency Rooms do not have the advanced training devoted just for children and Urgent Care Centers do not treat severe illness or injury. We do both. This results in a safer, kid-friendly environment for your child to receive treatment.

In addition to injury and severe illness, we can also provide care for your child’s minor illnesses and injuries when your pediatrician’s office is closed.

If your child requires advanced care, we will collaborate with our Pediatric Department, pediatric surgeons and other in-house specialty services.
